WFA and All Women’s Sports Network Finalize Historic Broadcast Deal with Direct Team Funding

The Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) is proud to announce a groundbreaking television broadcast agreement with the All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) to air WFA Live Games of the Week, beginning April 26, 2025. This landmark deal includes significant direct funding to WFA teams, marking the first time in women’s football history that teams will receive direct compensation for television broadcast rights.

WFA Live Games of the Week will be accessible to fans nationwide on major streaming platforms including Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV, and VIZIO WatchFree+ (Channel 1367)—bringing women’s tackle football directly into millions of homes every week. The AWSN Network will be announcing a significant expansion in platforms in the coming weeks.

As the premier league in women’s tackle football, the WFA has experienced historic viewership growth, with over one million live viewers tuning in for Game of the Week matchups and the WFA National Championship during the 2024 season. This new partnership with AWSN builds on the league’s accelerating momentum and provides a powerful platform for continued visibility and sustainability across all levels of WFA competition.

“This is more than just a broadcast deal,” said Lisa King, WFA Commissioner. “It’s a transformative moment for women’s football. For the first time ever, our teams will be financially rewarded for their role in delivering top-tier entertainment to fans across the globe. It’s a major step toward parity and professionalization in women’s sports.”

The AWSN agreement follows another historic milestone for the league—a multi-year partnership with ESPN, which secured exclusive broadcast rights to the WFA Pro National Championship Game. With two major broadcast networks now invested in showcasing women’s football, the WFA continues to lead the way in expanding opportunities for female athletes and bringing the sport to new audiences.

As part of the new AWSN agreement, fans can expect weekly live coverage of WFA’s most exciting matchups, in-depth storytelling, and increased national exposure for the league’s 60+ teams.

The WFA remains committed to growing the sport through innovation, investment, and impact—and this broadcast deal exemplifies all three.
