The battle for bragging rights in the Keystone State is Saturday, April 29 as the Pittsburgh Passion (4-0) host the Philadelphia Phantomz (1-2) in their last home game of the regular season. The captains meet at midfield for the coin toss at 7:00 p.m. at Joe P. DeMichela Stadium.
Head coach, Teresa Conn’s crew, claimed their first road victory last week 72-6 against the Dark Angels (1-2) in Detroit. The Women of Steel are 5-0 all-time against the Women of the Motor City. After this week, the Passion closes out the 2017 campaign with their last three matchups on the road.
Kyle Wescott of mywsports.com has the Black and Gold at No. 4 in his Women’s Football Alliance Power Rankings for Week 4. Pittsburgh moved up from seventh last week to fifth this week in the Massey Ratings. Massey has Philadelphia at No. 21.
PASSION GROUNDS DARK ANGELS
Kia Foster contributed her third consecutive game with over 100+ rushing yards with her 122-yard performance on 12 carries against Detroit. The 5-foot-6 running back from Hermitage, Pennsylvania tied her career best with three touchdowns during the contest. Gabrielle O’Neil and Tara Catone each added one trip to the end zone. O’Neil put up 49 yards, and Catone recorded 57 yards….
