January 28, 2021 – The Women’s Football Alliance proudly announces it has partnered with Soldiers to Sidelines (STS) to provide an avenue to a coaching career for WFA players who are part of the armed forces. The partnership will offer training, networking, and outreach for WFA players on active duty and veterans of all service branches.

Soldiers to Sidelines Women Coaches Seminar

After a successful Coaches Clinic with the New York Jets, where several WFA veterans received coaching certifications, Soldiers to Sidelines will implement a virtual Military Women Coaches seminar March 22-March 27th. The seminar will include some of the most prominent women in the sports industry. The meeting is free for all female service members and veterans. Graduates of the program will be provided mentorship, training, and coaching placement in their desired sport through a simple staged process.

“Soldiers to Sidelines aligns with the WFA standard of excellence in developing the athletes and coaches who inspire their teams and communities,” stated Lisa King, Commissioner of the WFA. “With a tremendous number of military service members playing and coaching in the WFA, this partnership will create amazing opportunities for them to continue their passion for the game at the community coaching level. We are honored to help give back to these amazing veterans.”

Founder and Executive Director Harrison Bernstein shared, “Soldiers To Sidelines is proud to announce our partnership with the Women’s Football Alliance. WFA currently has women veterans and service women coaching and serving their communities, these Soldier Coaches represent the best of Soldiers To Sidelines.”

About Soldiers to Sidelines

Soldiers to Sidelines provides a renewed sense of purpose for veterans and service members to become character-based sports coaches who serve their communities. Alumni coaches serve at the youth, community, scholastic, and collegiate levels. Soldiers to Sidelines train and certify Soldier Coaches through intensive and immersive seminars. During the seminars, Soldier Coaches receive instruction from top professional coaches and military leaders on the high-human skills of leadership and team building.
After a Veteran completes the certification seminar, they have the option to continue with our Membership Development Program. The MDP goes further in-depth with the high-human skills and sport specific instruction from Soldiers to Sidelines staff. Once our Veteran coaches complete their STS certification and the MDP they are connected to a nationwide network of outstanding coaches, to place them in a coaching position in their desired location.
