The WFA Welcomes the Wisconsin Dragons

Milwaukee, WI-The Wisconsin Dragons women’s tackle football team, based in Milwaukee and established in 2010, is excited to return to the Women’s Football Alliance for the 2018 season. The Dragons competed in the WFA in 2011-2012 and are back now with a refreshed purpose as part of the Wisconsin Dragons Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of girls’ and women’s athletics. Our mission includes partnerships and mentorships with youth programs as well as other women’s organizations and we look forward to the projects we will be tackling with them!

The Dragons football team is building on a solid foundation of veteran players, both from our first iteration and from past Milwaukee-area teams and we will be holding open tryouts through mid-November to fill out our roster. We are proud to say that fifty percent of our coaching staff are retired women’s tackle football players and we hope someday to achieve one hundred percent.
