The Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) is seeking a passionate, motivated, and highly organized Director of Operations to join our growing organization in Canton, Ohio.
We are looking for a dynamic leader who is dedicated to advancing women’s sports and excited to play a key role in the continued growth and success of women’s professional football.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of the WFA headquarters in Canton, Ohio, ensuring organizational efficiency and professionalism.
- Event Planning & Management: Coordinate and execute WFA events, including championship games, special events, camps, clinics, and community activities.
- Retail Operations: Oversee WFA retail store, including merchandise, inventory, sales, and customer service.
- Staff Coordination: Supervise and support employees, interns, and event personnel.
- Organizational Development: Assist with implementing operational strategies that support the continued expansion of the WFA.
- Community & Partner Relations: Build positive relationships with local businesses, sponsors, community organizations, and strategic partners.
- Administrative Oversight: Coordinate scheduling, communications, logistics, and operational reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in sports operations, event management, retail management, or organizational leadership preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during major events.
- A genuine passion for women’s sports and a commitment to advancing opportunities for female athletes.
