Exeter, CA — The Women’s Football Alliance is pleased to announce that the Capital City Rage have officially signed on as a full member and will play in the WFA for the 2018 season.  Based in Sacramento, California, the Rage will compete in the Pacific Region as members of Division 2 for 2018.

“Sacramento is a city with a history of supporting women’s football and we have no doubt that the Rage will quickly become top contenders for the Division 2 National Championship,” reported Lisa King, WFA Commissioner.

Although 2018 will be their inaugural season, the Rage continue a long and successful legacy for Sacramento women’s tackle football, most famously established by the Sacramento Sirens who had played in various women’s football leagues since 2001.  Serving as the sister team to minor league men’s powerhouse the Capital City Fury, the Rage ensures that women’s football will remain in California’s capital for 2018 and beyond.  They boast a solid roster of veterans and young stars alike who have been key to Sacto’s status as one of the strongest, most-decorated cities in all of women’s football, and will continue to be key throughout their contention for the Division 2 National Championship.
