The WFA is pleased to announce the return of their weekly show, “Road to Canton.” And this year, it’s packed more talent. The Road to Canton premiered in 2021, after the WFA signed their first national television deal to broadcast 12 games on Direct TV and Roku. The show was created to bring fans the news from around the league and analyze key match-ups for the games of the week. Hosts Brian Sweeney, WFA National Championship ESPN Announcer, Emory Hunt, CBS Sports analyst, and Alex Westad gave fans an in depth look at each match-up, interviewing coaches and top players around the league.  With tens of thousands of fans tuned in for the show each week, the ‘Road to Canton’ quickly became the most watched show on the For The Fans Channel.  Its success was the catalyst for the WFA scoring over 150,000 fans watching WFA Games of the Week.

With the success of 2021, the WFA has expanded the show to include more personalities and talent. Not only will the show analyze upcoming match-ups, but it will also include two new segments, ‘Under Her Helmet’ and ‘Go Lois.’

Under Her Helmet with Brandee J

Brandee J,  Fashion Editor of Lux Kurves Magazine and founder and host of The Brandee J Show, will bring fans up close interviews with the WFA biggest stars. “Our players show tremendous passion and courage to step on the field each week and you won’t believe their stories of perseverance off of the field,” stated Lisa King, WFA Commissioner. “Truly getting to know these women we believe will touch a lot of fans and give them even more to cheer for each week.”

There Goes Lois with Lois Cook

This segment of the show will show the fun side of women’s football, hosted by social media influencer, Lois Cook. Tik Tok sensation and Milk Athlete Ambassador, Lois Cook has had tremendous success giving fans a fun look at the lighter side of women’s football.
