Experienced Sports Business Leader Joins WFA to Help Drive Organizational Growth, Community Engagement and National Expansion
CANTON, Ohio — The Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), the premier women’s tackle football league in the world, is pleased to announce that Allison Kimbrough has joined the organization as the Vice President of Strategic Growth, supporting the league’s continued growth and long-term vision.
Kimbrough joins the WFA during an exciting period of expansion as the league establishes its new headquarters in Canton, Ohio, strengthens its national presence, and continues investing in initiatives that elevate women’s football across the country.
Working alongside Commissioner Dr. Lisa King, President Terry Smith, and the league’s leadership team, Kimbrough will help advance strategic growth initiatives focused on organizational development, championship experiences, community engagement, franchise expansion, retail and licensing initiatives, and long-term partnership strategy.

Kimbrough brings more than a decade of leadership experience in sports business, strategic partnerships, experiential marketing, and organizational growth. Her career includes leadership positions with Akron Athletics and Hall of Fame Village, where she helped develop innovative partnership programs, community initiatives, and large-scale events designed to strengthen organizational growth and enhance fan experiences.
She also currently serves as President of the Cleveland Chapter of WISE (Women in Sports & Events), where she works to advance leadership opportunities and professional development for women across the sports and events industry.

Kimbrough will immediately begin working with league leadership in preparation for the upcoming WFA National Championship while supporting strategic initiatives designed to position the organization for continued national growth.
